2024 – Growth continues

Renewable Energy and Jobs: Annual Review 2024

While negative headlines are the norm in the public debate on various "traditional" industries, the opposite is true in the field of renewable energies. Driven by the significant increase in the use of renewable technologies, this is also leading to a sharp increase in employment in these sectors. In absolute figures, solar technology (photovoltaics) is unsurprisingly the area that has seen the strongest growth. But the wind energy sector is also experiencing encouraging growth. It is in the nature of things that the planning, approval and realization of a wind turbine is based on a different schedule than a solar system. All the details on the excellent prospects in the field of renewable energies can be found in the current IRENA Review 2024.
